WOODSTOCK, GA -- Cherokee County's evening school, Polaris, hosted its first-ever blood drive on Tuesday, Oct. 26.

A large number of students participated, donating 27 pints of blood. The event was coordinated by Estafania Sucar, a Polaris student.

The blood drive was so successful that the school plans to hold another one in January.
