Caribou Coffee to close Woodstock location

WOODSTOCK, Ga. -- After approximately 7 years in Woodstock, Caribou Coffee will be closing the Highway 92 location as of Wednesday, March 27th at 10pm.  Caribou Coffee, the second largest coffee chain, is located near the Target and Steak and Shake on Highway 92 near Interstate 575.

The national chain, based out of Minnesota, will be opening a new store off Wade Green Road and Interstate 75 in the fall of this year. The majority of the staff at Woodstock's Caribou plan on opening up with the new Caribou this fall. In the meantime, the baristas will be working in the other metro-Atlanta Caribou locations. On a positive note, none  of the Caribou Coffee employees have lost their job.

Caribou Coffee has almost 500 company-owned locations in16 United States states and the District of Columbia, as well as in several countries outside the United States and employee over 6,000. Caribou is known for its social consciousness and environmentally safe way of doing business.

The staff at Caribou hope to see a lot of their regulars at the Johnson Ferry location and at the Kennesaw location once it opens.
