Taste of Italy, located on Highway 92 in Woodstock, was recently awarded a Certificate of Commendation from The American Legion, Post 316.  This Commendation was awarded for Taste of Italy’s “outstanding assistance and support for the veterans and youth programs” in South Cherokee County.  Senior Vice Commander Rust presented Taste of Italy’s owner Gino Moriello with the Commendation and his sincere appreciation on behalf of all those that The American Legion, Post 316 serve.

Moriello said, “we are happy to support the community and appreciate all that The American Legion does.  Our local customers support businesses like Taste of Italy and without their support we would not be here, so giving back is important.”  The American Legion is a non-profit entity and is the nation’s largest veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow servicemembers and veterans.
