WOODSTOCK, Ga. -- Caribou Coffee of Cherokee County will be supporting our troops this holiday season by sending their Reindeer blend coffee and other requested items overseas for both Thanksgiving and the winter holidays. Caribou’s “Operation Coffee Break” is a long-standing tradition, where each coffeehouse chooses an organization to support throughout the season. Caribou on 92 is working with locally-founded Military Working Dog Team Support Association, Inc. (MWDTSA) – find them online at www.mwdtsa.org.  As of press time, 85lbs of coffee were sent from the Woodstock community to our troops overseas.

MWDTSA supports both American Military Working Dogs and their handlers that are deployed overseas. In addition to coffee, Caribou on 92 will be collecting items that have been requested from MWDTSA this season, including: Collapsible dog water bowls, Kong toys, FURminators, Pet wipes, Doggles (Dog Goggles) for the dogs and boxes of hand/foot warmers, hiking boot socks (Thorlo and Wigwam are recommended brands), packages of dried fruits, nuts, chocolate, and trail mix for the troops. Caribou will also be hosting holiday card-making days in order to collect personalized cards to be sent with the packages.

Caribou Coffee is located at 121 Lauren Lane on Highway 92 and its hours are 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. on Saturdays, and 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Sundays. For more information, please call (770) 926- 6379.
