Woodstock chiropractor raises hundreds for Rivera family | Community Spirit
WOODSTOCK, Ga. -- A Woodstock chiropractor raised $450 Thursday for the family of Jorelys Rivera, the seven-year-old Canton girl whose body was found Monday.
Dr. Brian G. Gregg declared Thursday, Dec. 8 "Remember Jorelys Day" at his practice, Gregg Chiropractic Center. He accepted $15 donations for the Jorelys Rivera Memorial Fund in exchange for treatment.
"We were all devastated by [Jorelys' death]," Gregg said. "I wanted to turn all of this emotion into something positive."
Gregg said numerous people stopped in for treatment, while others chose to call his office and give over the phone. One gentleman simply walked in to drop off a check.
The doctor plans to deliver the money to the Sixes Road branch of United Community Bank Friday afternoon.
