Chapman IS collects 'Pennies for Patients'

WOODSTOCK, Ga. -- The students at Chapman Intermediate School in Woodstock raised more than $2,000 in this year's Pennies for Patients initiative.

Pennies for Patients is a program that encourages schoolchildren to donate to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Because the students raised so much money, school administrators decided to let them wear costumes to school on Halloween. Costume contest winners from each grade level were treated to special certificates and ice cream passes.
