The victim, Kaylee Johnson, was found dead on Oct. 14, 2012 at the bottom of a basement staircase at a house on Red Bird Way in Woodstock.
Beck, 23, of Bartow County was staying at the house with Naples, 31. She told police she got up in the middle of the night for a glass of water and found her daughter unresponsive.
Johnson was taken to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite, where she was pronounced dead two days later.
Cherokee County Sheriff's Lt. Jay Baker said an autopsy determined Johnson died of blunt force trauma to her head, not of a fall down the stairs. Her death was ruled a homicide.
Beck and Naples are being held without bond in the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center.
