Macon man arrested for selling stolen property in Woodstock

WOODSTOCK, Ga. -- Investigators with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office have arrested a man accused of selling stolen home appliances.

Adam Mazur was arrested Thursday morning at the Home Depot on Highway 92 in Woodstock. Authorities said the 42-year-old Macon man tried to sell a stolen range, oven and dishwasher to an undercover detective.

The appliances were discovered missing from a foreclosed home on Hardwood Lane in Ball Ground on Oct. 10, when a real estate agent took a prospective buyer through the house, according to police. A Fannie Mae employee later found the appliances for sale on Craigslist in a posting created by the suspect.

As of Thursday evening, Mazur is in the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center on $25,700 bond.
