ATLANTA -- Fall is in the air, Halloween candy has begun to grace grocery store shelves and it's time to start training for a spooky race.

Several metro Atlanta 5Ks, 10Ks and more carry Halloween themes during this time of year. Here is a list of some of the area's fall runs.

Saturday, Oct. 13
Candler Park Fall Fest 5K, Candler Park

Celebrate the change in seasons with this race, which benefits the Candler Park Neighborhood Organization. Once you reach the finish line, enjoy a free SweetWater draft and all the other Fall Fest activities.
Time: 10 a.m.
Location: Epworth United Methodist Church (1561 McLendon Avenue)

Habitat 5K Pumpkin Chase, Conyers

Run a festive race on a fun and challenging course in Rockdale County.
Time: 9 a.m.
Location: Greek Pizza House (977 South Main Street NE)

Creepy Crawl 5K Trail Run, DeKalb County
Run across Mercer University's Atlanta campus in support of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Runners are invited to dress in costume while they hoof it along the trail-style course.
Time: 8:30 a.m.
Location: Mercer University Atlanta campus (3001 Mercer University Drive)
Cost: $20 in advance, $30 on race day; register in advance to be guaranteed a T-shirt

Run Like Hell 5K, Grant Park

Run among the tombstones in Atlanta's historic Oakland Cemetery. This annual spectacle is the largest cemetery race in the country and ends with a costume contest. Registration closes at 1,600 runners, so sign up soon!
Time: 9 a.m. (5K), 10 a.m. (Run Like Heck 1K Fun Run)
Location: Oakland Cemetery (248 Oakland Avenue)

Saturday, Oct. 20
Spooktacular Chase 5K and Creepy Kilometer 1K, Smyrna
Chase Seemore the Owl through the historic neighborhoods of downtown Smyrna. There will also be a silent auction at the race; both events raise money for Vision Rehabilitation Services of Georgia, a non-profit that helps blind and vision-impaired Georgians.
Time: 8:30 a.m.
Location: Cobb Park (2776 Sanford Road)
Cost: $25 in advance, $30 on race day

Sunday, Oct. 21
Candy Corn 4 Kidney 5K & Fun Run, Cumming

Run across a flat, fast course -- in costume, if you'd like. Money raised by the race will go toward a deserving patient's kidney transplant.
Time: 2 p.m. (5K), 3 p.m. (fun run)
Location: North Forsyth Middle School (3845 Coal Mountain Drive)
Cost: $25 (5K), $15 (fun run); register no later than Oct. 14 to be guaranteed a T-shirt

5K Boo Run, Flowery Branch
Celebrate Halloween with this 14th annual Hall County race, which benefits the charity programs sponsored by Flowery Branch Masonic Lodge 212.
Time: 9 a.m.

Big Pumpkin Run, Roswell

Bobblehead trophies, die cast medals and Southwest Airlines vouchers are at stake in this fun family 5K. Proceeds benefit World Harvest Church's youth mission teams.
Time: 8:30 a.m.
Location: Sweet Apple Village (12030 Etris Road)
Cost: $25 until Oct. 22, $30 after; registration closes at noon on Oct. 26

Saturday, Oct. 27
Halloween Hustle 5K & Scary Scamper Kids' Run, Sandy Springs
Individual runners and teams are invited to dress in costume and race through Sandy Springs, then enjoy a post-event celebration with brunch, live music, pumpkin painting and more. This event is part of the Fight for Air Run/Walk, which raises money to prevent and treat lung diseases; participants are encouraged to raise at least $100 each.
Time: 8:45 a.m.

Inman Park Beer Chase 5K, Inman Park

What better way to end a 5K than with a selection of 100+ craft beers? Run through historic Inman Park and the Freedom Park PATH, then relax with an ice-cold libation at the post-race beer fest. This race benefits the Inman Park Security Patrol.
Time: 11 a.m.
Location: The corner of Lake Avenue and Elizabeth Street
Cost: $27 in advance, $30 on race day (5K); $60 for both the 5K and beer fest

Saturday, Oct. 27
Monster Dash Half Marathon | 10K | 5K, Downtown
Join the city's biggest Halloween party! The Monster Dash will include fog machines, trick-or-treating at its water stations and a costume contest at the finish line.
Time: 7:30 a.m. (half marathon), 8 a.m. (10K), 9 a.m. (5K)
Location: Georgia Dome (1 Georgia Dome Drive)
Cost: $55 (half marathon), $45 (10K), $35 (5K), $25 (5K runners aged 13 and younger)

Saturday, Oct. 27
Running Scared 13K, 5K & Fun Run, Dacula
Ghosts, ghouls and other things that go bump in the night will ... pass out candy to runners as they zoom by -- nothing scary here! Proceeds from this race will benefit the Mill Creek High School drama department.
Time: 5:15 p.m. (13K), 5:30 p.m. (5K), 5:45 p.m. (Fun Run)
Location: Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church (1450 Pine Road)

Twilight Run F.O.R. Cherokee, Woodsto
This family-friendly event benefits the Cherokee Friends of Recovery Foundation, which works to curb drunk driving and keep roads safe. The race will be followed by a costume contest where a $50 cash prize is at stake.
Time: 7 p.m. (1-mile fun run), 7:30 p.m. (5K)
