WOODSTOCK, Ga. -- A concerned citizen helped Cherokee County Police capture a bank robber who, they say, robbed a bank using a note written in his own checkbook.
The caller told 911 that he had seen a man park at a CVS located at the intersection of Sixes and Bells Ferry Roads. The 911 caller, also, reported seeing a man wearing a masking near the CVS.
While deputies questioned the man, identified as 52-year-old Henry Franklin Rainey, they spotted an open check book with a note written on the inside; Rainey's tag was, also, obscured.
Rainey has been detained and is being charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit Armed Robbery.
