Man's burned body found in Woodstock | News
WOODSTOCK, Ga. -- The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office has determined the man whose badly burned body was found in Woodstock over the weekend committed suicide.
The body of 27-year-old Armando Ruiz Medina was found Sunday afternoon in a wooded area off Dupree Road, not far from the Noonday Valley Mobile Home complex.
Sheriff's Lt. Jay Baker said the man's ex-girlfriend reported him missing on Saturday. The ex-girlfriend said she broke up with Ruiz on Tuesday, and no one had seen or heard from him since.
A gas tank and lighter were found near Ruiz's body, according to Baker.
On Tuesday, the Medical Examiner at the GBI Crime Lab ruled the death a suicide.
