Kennesaw, GA - June 28, 2011 – On Saturday, June 18th LearningRx Kennesaw was a platinum sponsor of The Golden Soldiers Big Day Out at the Acworth Sports Complex.  Close to 600 people attended the second annual free event which provided fun and excitement for children with special needs and their families.

 BIG DAY OUT was held at the Acworth Sports Complex adjacent to the Horizon special needs field. The parking lot was filled with carnival games, inflatables, music, jugglers, a vendor walk, and a surprise visit from Freddie the Falcon and the Atlanta Falcon’s Cheerleaders.

CHESTER, PA  - The Atlanta Beat (1-6-1) of Women's Professional Soccer earned a point on the road Saturday night when they tied the Philadelphia Independence 0-0 at Widener University.

 Atlanta Beat goalkeeper Allison Whitworth made her first start since the season opener and came up with a huge first half.  Not only did she save a strong shot from Philly's Tasha Kai in the ninth minute, but she also saved Lianne Sanderson's rocket in the 12th and penalty kick in the 45th.

 Offensively in the first half, Beat forward Meghan Lenczyk got a shot off in the third minute from 12 yards out and again in the 13th from the corner of the six yard box.

ACWORTH– For this week’s installment of Best Spots, we've compiled a list of the best golf courses in for you to take a break and tee it off while the weather is nice.

The Cobblestone Golf Course is known as one of the best golf courses in Cobb County. The course, which is located in Acworth opened in 1993 and has won a number of awards for its great layout and 4 star rating by Golf Digest. This course is also rated among the Top 100 Golf Courses in the United States by Golf Magazine.

The course was recently renovated and restored back to “optimal playing condition”. It was also featured on The Golf Channel’s “Morning Drive”. The course has brand new Bermuda greens and new bunkers. The course offers seven holes running along Lake Acworth and favorable views, mounding and layouts.

Games at this course range from $24 to $60 and include carts. This course is pretty flexible.
