CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. -- More than 130 juniors at all six Cherokee County high schools have been recognized as 2013 Key Scholars.
The distinction is given to students who score in the 90th percentile or above on the PSAT.
"Our Key Scholars represent the top 10 percent of all students in the nation who took the PSAT exam in October, and that's a major accomplishment for which each of them and their families should be very proud," Cherokee County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Frank Petruzielo said in a statement.
The students were recognized at a special ceremony, where they received certificates and letter jacket patches.
